This CD contains tablature (D-A-dd and D-A-AA, with standard musical staff and chords), lyrics, MP3 audio files of the strummed and, when available, fingerpicked versions from the audio CD's and midi files of the melody for all music included in the Western North Carolina Dulcimer Collective's quarterly newsletters from the period 1990-2010.
This "autorun" PC CD is set up as a website, and you access pages using your standard web browser (but you don't need to be online). Links to all of the tab and lyrics (listed both alphabetically and by CD) will open them in separate windows. Tab will open using Adobe Acrobat Reader (or other software, if you have it associated with "pdf" files). Lyrics will open in your default text editor. MP3's and midi files will open in whatever audio program you have associated with MP3's.
(As well, if you "go hunting" on the CD you'll find a folder with Microsoft Word versions of all of the tablature, which can avoid the artifcating sometimes caused when creating PDF files, as well as a folder of pdf's of all of our newsletters since 2002.)
